Egyptian Revival hand-mirror. Hand-carved wood in the shape of bather. Original mirror plate, elaborate lion carving on the back of the mirror.
This is an Art Deco reinterpretation of the hand-mirrors found in ancient Egyptian king tombs.
Italy, c.1920. Recently mounted on a bespoke steel stand.
