This pair is first half C20th and a revival interpretation of an C18th Empire chair. Curved back ormolu mounts. Requires recovering/reupholstering. Frames in excellent condition. Numerous layers of paint over a light wood (pine or beech) , the latest being a fairly recent French grey.
