A French Charolles faience Art Nouveau plate with moulded peony flowerhead decoration and turquoise glaze. Stamped 'Charolles' Made in France on the base. The Faïencerie de Charolles was founded in 1844 by Hippolyte Prost (1827-1892) in the town of Charolles, located in Saône-et-Loire.
