A Pair of 1960's James Mont Horseshoe Lacquered Chinoiserie Armchairs

Designer and Interior Decorator, James Mont reigned supreme in New York in the 1960's, counting gangsters and film stars amongst his clients.  He was especially famous for his Chinese inspired designs.  He had the knack of creating elegant but exotic pieces.  This smart pair of black lacquered chairs has brass detailing and is newly upholstered with removable drop in seats in faux black horsehair.
