A rare pair of Clement Massier turquoise glaze vases. Finely glazed with a slight crackle effect to the glaze.
With double handles inspired by the Alhambra vase.
Both vases signed to the underside stamped in the pottery Clement Massier Golfe-Juan.

Clément Massier was a famous ceramicist working in Golfe-Juan. He was particularly famous for developing his own luster glaze and he produced his iridescent, metallic glaze for which he was awarded a gold medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900. That same year Massier also became an of official supplier to the British crown. His works are exhibited in museums worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
