A handsome inexpensive desk. English c1840. Solid mahogany and old black leathered top. Lovely reeded leg and fully finished onboth sides with curved corners making this desk happy to sit facing out or in the middle of a room. Two large drawers. In good country house condition. One castor replaced (all old) , one castor doesn't spin. General wear commensurate with age and much use. All the moulding is original and in place. Nice and tall, plenty of knee height.
