C18th Georgian lamp table
From Gear Antiques
This is a George II example so places quite early at c1750 with straight canon barrell stem and bird cage gallery and nicely shaped legs ( one of which has an old break which has been repaired almost invisibly). This table at 65cms dia and 68cms h is smaller than a wine table and ideally suited for a lamp by a chair. It has a one piece top and a few simple decorative attributes which enhance its charm such as a lip over each leg. Colour and patina are good , wax finish is slightly patchy , brass catch and holding wedge are replacements.
