Aesthetic movement - recognised Godwin design with Thebes type turned leg. English c1880. It's been a while since Ivecome across one , much less managed to buy it well. This example is a good standard size and originally ebonised likely on mahogany, the finish refreshed - re blackened. Nothing missing, solid, split to surface along joint line.
