Beech carved faux bamboo is a popular style that originated with these Georgian chairs. These are English c1835. A very solid good sized pair with very good cane. Originally painted but now later painted white (prob 50 years ago). A very decorative Addison to any hall way or room. ( It is strongly recommended that a cushion be used to protect the cane as it is wildly expensive to replace)
