Marché aux Fleurs Screen print
From M. Charpentier Antiques
A 1950s screenprint by French illustrator Jean-Denis Malclès (1912-2002) of a Parisian flower market, with Notre-Dame Cathedral in the background. Box framed and signed by the artist in the bottom right corner. Malclès was primarily a set designed for theatre (La Comédie Française), film, opera and ballet, but he also painted and designed the first collections for Pierre Frey. The artwork is in immaculate order, retaining all its array of vibrant colours.
